Trans-Siberian Orchestra Shares Another Season In Council Bluffs

Updated: Nov 22, 2022

On 11.16.22 I got to experience the Trans-Siberian Orchestra or TSO for the first time. It was truly a Theatrical Rock experience. I have never written a review for a concert in my life. I am dipping my toe into a world reserved for people who are true words smith and are able to capture, with expertise, the ability to use your own imagination, but here goes.

The music quality was superb, great musicians with very good vocals. A true theater musical explosion that combines amazing visual lights and video to capture and bring you along for the ride. It was as if Meatloaf and Neil Diamond got together to put on a show.

There were moments that truly captured my own personal emotions about this wonderful Christmas season. Faith in Providence that leads to Hope, Forgiveness and Redemption. The very core values of Christmas. The understanding of love and memories of Christmas past. The moments where we lost loved ones or people we loved. Hope is eternal.

I was amazed by the quality of the show and the effort that everyone in TSO put forth. Great energy and excitement as they truly enjoyed what they were doing. Not many shows in such a small venue put forth the same type of effort. It was a 2.5 hour show that was worth every minute. A few songs were over-embellished but that is the theater for you. The Mid America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa has been home to the Trans Siberian Orchestra every year since 2013 because they seem to never disappoint their audience, and now I understand why,

I was very blessed to spend this time with my wonderful angel, my wife. It is always a treat for me to go to a concert with her as she is the true Rock Queen, junkie. She knows more about music and people in the music world than I will ever know in a lifetime.

I will definitely go see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra again next Christmas 2023. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

Sincerely

John Wylie
